About 45 miles from Calais a pretty little town contained inside fortifications and a citadel.  Worth a wander around. A nice regional town with some history.  Pleasant to walk around because it is not so crowded.  Site is good, nice location on outskirts of town next to the river.  Warden makes you feel welcome. Very helpful.

Is it me.  We are staying on a municipal site in France, owned and run by the local council.  Above reception, a single story building, there are two small flag poles on which flies the French national flag, one got tangled up. It is Thursday morning and we are a nice municipal site on the outskirts of Soissons, France. 41 miles west of Reims, 170 miles from the channel ports.  A couple more stops before we board the ferry in a weeks time. More information when we have done some exploring.

Tuesday the 20th.  Woke this morning to hard frost and freezing fog.  Once the sun came up it started to burn off the fog. The combination of bright sunlight on the buildings, mist, and frost on the ground makes for some nice images.
