The return leg.

We leave Portugal on the 1st march and travel to Ceseres in Spain, a days journey. Plan to stay for six days. From there to Mulhouse in France, three/four day drive. A few days there, leave it open ended, lots to see. Then, time permitting, to Krakow, Poland. Three days driving. Will need at least a week there.

Across Germany, Belgium and to Dunkerque to catch a ferry on the 29th March.

They grow into large shrubs in the Algarve. We have seen some nice ones in the gardens. If you planted them in the UK it would shirvell up.

Look at the pictures under a similar heading, They were taken in a wet room on a site in Spain. The room is about two metres square and contains a washbasin, W C and shower. For those of you that do not believe your eyes it is a mains electricity board in the wall, a 240 volt socket next to and at the same height as the wash basin. Two push operated light switches next to the toilet at about thigh height. Is it me?

Observed on a motor way in Spain a man spraying weed killer on the central reservation. He was driving a small truck, using his right hand to steer the truck and holding a lance in his left hand as he drove slowly along in the outside lane. No cones or traffic management. Cannot help thinking who has got it wrong? Having said that we also saw two highways vans that had been heavily rear ended.

Sunday, we decided to take a walk along the Thames tow path. Bus to Hampton court, walk to Walton on Thames, bus back to site.

A pleasant walk, sunny and breezy. Ideal conditions, comfortable temperature. A nice packed lunch.

Lots to see, nice houses, canoeist, rowers, every breed of dog imangable, including a few street accidents. Down side, to many b….y canada geese.

We passed a bus shelter on Unst that appeared to contain an armchair and a carpet, an understatement.

We are looking forward to, west Cornwall pasty, (I can take my pick because Jennifer will not be there) with wedges, gammon steak, a leg of lamb, real ale, traditional english cheese, granary bread, (uncut), marmite, (not Keith), corned beef, coop-soup, English bacon, whole earth peanut butter, venison steaks, pork pie and liver and onions.

That should keep us going. Can somebody warn the co-op?

To understand this you will need to look at the pictures from Vienna. The guy is playing what look likes a flying saucer or two woks welded together, the sound was amazing. We have included a photograph of the card explaining the instrument.

Not us, the Hebrides. Those of you who have followed our travels from the early days will know that we visited the outer Hebrides, they are beautiful.

We have become aware, through a variety of sources that, in 2009, the numbers of motor homes visiting these islands increased dramatically, estimates suggest 114%. This lead to extensive debates about the value of tourism and its effect on the locality. It transpires that local councils on these islands have closed off areas used by motor homers and are imposing a limit on the number of motor homes visiting some islands whilst they discuss longer term solutions.

We understand the issue and are glad that we visited in 2009.

Felt we should explain for the benefit of those of you that are not aware of how we access the Internet. Mounted on the van is a satellite dish, this allows us to watch television, listen to the radio or go on the net. However, not all at the same time.

Using the Internet is relatively expensive, (sometimes cheaper than site Wi Fi). What we tend to do is go on line two or three times a week to upload pictures, write blogs and deal with any personal business. The uploading of photos takes, on average, about thirty to forty minutes. Two hours soon disappear by the time blogs have been written, some research for forward destination, etc.

We would like to apologise to any of you if we rarely send personal e mails. We are not ignoring you, or not thinking of you, it is purely time constraints.

Keep viewing and sending in yours comments, good or bad.
